Default pushrod length questions

what is stock length for 2000?
Guy at the dyno shop said most customers with broken pushrods are from being about .050 too long. Said some guys raise the rockers .050 - he likes using -.050 pushrods. Sound right?
Where to buy and how much?
thanks!

Stock PR's are 7.4". The next size smaller is 7.350". Generally used when you mill heads but you can shim the rockers instead.

Technically, stock pushrods are 7.38".

You can purchase hardened pushrods through Thunder Racing.

So has anyone hear of bendingg/breaking stock pushrods and that the issue might be they are a hair too long, thus depress the lifter plunger at around valve float time and bend?
That's what I heard as the reason to buy hardened at cam swap time. Wants me to get the -.050
hmmm
