Default question about measuring pushrod length and ls7 lifter pre load?

ok guys have an ls1 block with stage 2 texas speed 243 heads.i have ls7 lifters and stock roller rockers.i tighten my push road checker,just till the tick sound went away(checking with a micrometer)im getting 7.266.trying to get an idea how much pre load i should add to this for the ls7 lifters?thanks for your help!!!

with your measurement at 7.266, I would use 7.350 pushrods. That would give you an .084 preload.

I used .080 on my last build with the same lifters and had hardly any valve-train noise.

.060 to .100 would be an acceptable range from what I've read.
