Default oil pressure question

my trans am has 97k miles on it and the oil pressure fully up to temp it at like 45-50 psi at idle which is like 6-700 rmp being a a4 then when im cruising it gets to almost the 3/4 mark and at wot it almost touches 80, does it sound like i have a ls6 oil pump or just really good oil pressure?

I'd check the gauge. Make sure it works right. Then after that. Scratch my head and say WTF. Other then that. I wouldn't know.

Stock gauge isn't accurate. Check with a mechanical gauge and then get back to us.

Does it really matter? You appear to have very good oil pressure, so enjoy.

Thats your call! won't hurt if you don't know what you have or how old the pump is.

In the end it's only money haha!
