Forged internals are much stronger than the cast internals that are in your engine from the factory,,It is done in the manufacturing of the parts,,So They are able to take considerably more force and load....

Are you wanting to stay stock stroke, or go with a 4.0" stroke to make it a 383ci?

I was hoping to stay stock stroke.......however I am willing to listen to advice and suggestions. Turbo is in the future, shooting for extreme HP

Which heads are you planning to run, and about how much is "extreme" HP you are planning on?

Still deciding on heads, but the cam and heads need to be turbo friendly.....shooting for 900-1100 hp

If you get into a head with about a 64cc chamber, then the Wiseco -11cc dish piston would do nicely! With the GM MLS gaskets you'll net about 9.3:1 static compression or so. They are the strong 2618 forging, come standard with coated skirts, and a steel top/napier 2nd ring set!
