Default TSP 231/237 With Manley Springs (Single)

I'm thinking about upgrading to the TSP 231/237 sometime in the future, and if I can get by without changing my springs, I'd like to do that. I know I've read of a few people running this cam with Comp 918s and TSP says it will work with springs that are good up to .600" lift, but it's mighty close.

Would my valvetrain be a ticking timebomb if I ran this cam with a single spring, or would I be OK for 10,000+ miles? My springs have less than 2,000 miles on them, and my rev limiter is still at 6200, though I may eventually bump it up to 6500.

Also, has anyone run this cam with the stock tune? How did it do?

Thanks,
Josh

I have ran my 918's with 6,000miles prior to install. Run them about 4k miles or so, and a quite a few trips down the qtr with a rev limiter at 6900. No problems, but of course it is ot the brightest thing to do either. I would be safe and go duals, even the new stock diameter duals.

Thanks for the quick responses!

Yes, dual springs would definitely be on the agenda, they just wouldn't be financially feasible at the time of the cam purchase.

No problems yet.
