man, just get forged internals and be done with it. Im doing almost the same thing as you.. For pistons I went with wisco pistons and their napier ring package. As far as ptv clearance.. i have no clue lol

The stock rotating assembly won't be able to consistently handle a 250 shot. You need to at least put forged rods and pistons in the motor unless you want to be rebuilding it shortly again. We usually go Wiseco Pistons with their ringset, and a Callies H-beam rod.

the stock lq4 pistons don't like a lot of nitrous. they tend to come apart around the top ring lands. if you don't mind blowing it up go for it, but i would run an aftermarket piston at the very least, and with that much happy gas the bottom end won't last long.

Sorry to revive this thread but since the pistons are the weakest part on spray, how long til the rods go if they have ARP bolts in them and the shot is between 300-400? Will they hold up through that or no?

if you are going to change pistons change rods rods are not that much higher then the arp bolt and a resize and you get a much stronger product
