im gathering all the infoi can before i decide toeither keep my ls1 in my 98 camaro, or to throw anls2 in. found a block already, and i just wanted to no weather vvt wouldbe a good thingorbad thing? willvvt work with my 98 computer? do i do any front cover changes?

I didn't know the ls2 had VVT. However, if you have a 98 computer, it won't work with that. But I would def use the ls2.

i know they come on the l92 engines because my brother bought one at a junk yard and he took the vvt out and to run that you need a different ecm

VVT is very cool technology that is beneficial in a lot of ways in the right hands.

That being said, it is not cost effective to attempt to convert a non-VVT engine to VVT. And LS2's are not VVT. If you want VVT, buy a car that already has it.
