Default 90mm tb on a Ls6 intake

anyone do this? what kind of gains can be made? i'd like to go with a fast eventually, i just wanna buy something but the intake would kill me.

well a normal LS6 intake, you can not just bolt up a 90mm TB to it. There is a company that chops off the front of the stock LS6 intake and mount a 4 bolt square opening that can be used with a 90mm/92mm TB The price to do that the last time I was looking to odo the same thing was about the price of a 90mm Fast intake now days. It would be a waste IMO to spend the money on the chopping up a LS6 to get 90mm tb to fit

well i'm asking cuz i've seen an adapter that allows you to go from 3 to 4 bolt. looks like a spacer of some sort

I do not think a larger throttle body on the stock LS6 intake snout will work as well as a re-snouted LS6 intake.

Yes those exist but they won't help you out much. The intake opening will still only be stock size and the runners still won't flow any more. So you get rid of 1 bottle neck only to reveal the 2 behind it.

Waste of time.

In the end the stock style intake does not flow as much as most cyl heads require.

Well technically speaking, none of the plastic intakes do.

Check TPIS, they have a LS6 >90mm conversion. It used to be 350$, but that was a while since I checked.
