that's a pretty slick looking tool.

where did you buy it at? where can i find out more info about it?

i see that the two bolts at the top of the tool use the rocker arm holes, how about the bottom bolt? does it just use the threads from the valve cover bolts? TIA

I bought the tool from Vinci High Performance in Orlando Florida .Ask for Joe tell him Lou sent you. The tool comes with all the hardware that you see. The bolt between the springs threaded into the body of the tool not the valve cover bolt hole. This means all the pressure is placed on the tool. I am very pleased with the way the tool made the job turn out. The hardest part was threading the hose into the spark plug hole to keep the valves up.

Does this still work with a 98' head? It don't use the 99-up valve cover threads at all?

What about a part # from Crane? If this thing don't cost an arm and a leg I think its a great idea.

edit:
I just seen the price at $120
You got maybe $10 worth of metal and you sell it for over $100 just don't make sense.

I wouldn't see why it wouldn't work on a 98? You can call Vinci and they could answer this for you for sure. They were in on the R&D with Crane on this tool. It does not use the valve cover threads at all the center stud is threaded into the tool. Just crank down the nut and it does the work for you. It maybe $10.00 in metal but the cost to make it and the R&D costs does add up. But the time that it saves is worth the money spent.

How much does a regular spring puller cost? This thing looks easy to use, but $120 sounds a bit much for a little metal. Then again I recently paid $360 for an LS6 intake that uses the same amount of material as the LS1 intake I just sold for $35.

It took me just about 50 minutes to go from 918's to Patriot dual springs. Makes the job a ton faster.
