I mic the crank journal, set the bore guage and measure the torqued bearings
in the big ends. Oil on the bolt threads, extreme pressure lubricant under the
head, 2 thousandths (0.0018-0.0022) street, as loose as 0.0025 race engine

So do You recommend to the customers to run 5-w30 or 10-w40 or 20-w50 or? And I'm curious as to why You factor in that clearance as compared with the factory .001" ? Is it at least in part because You only run HV oil pumps ? Would You recommend the same clearance for a stock crank that has worn .001" off so it measures 2.099" and Clevite cb1776-a bearings which are aluminum (what vendor said) and of course .002" larger outside diameter for honing big-end of rods round . How much smaller inside of big end of rod than outside of bearing for a safe amount of crush that will hold bearings tight but not too much as to distort bearing too much ?

Factory recommended clearances are for factory power engines. Higher power engines need more oil flow and more clearance to move around.
