it was still making power at the revlimiter we raised to 6750. I talked to the tuner about going up to 7k and he said to go to the track and see where Im at when I'm crossing the traps. If im needing to shift we will raise it more.

I don't see why it wouldn't be worth it.

i figured replacing all that stuff would make it last long enough for me to build my 390 or 408. dont really wanna drop motor out to replace rod bolts or anything. ill probably just keep it set for 6500 rpm. i mean motor is strong just sounds like a dam diesel when i first start it.

That cam is a little too much for that converter for an NA setup IMO, but if you are going to run the juice then it should work out nicely.

yes on the n20 and going to the track pretty frequently, i found some 799 heads just wondering if it would be worth doing this over the winter or just wait and get a AES 390 built for a d1sc.

If ur gonna go through the effort of putting in new lifters might as well buy a set of stage 2 243 heads, or some sort of head work.

The awesome thing about this cam is the mid-range power and tq numbers. 100 hit would be lethal even with stock heads. Of course I have LS6/243s.
