Default different GM head bolts?

What is the difference between the GM 12560744 and 11588291 head bolts?
The local GM dealer sent me a quote that says the 12560744 have been replaced by the 11588291.

Either way, I will be ordering the 12498545 bolt kit from GMpartsdirect but would still like to know the difference and which ones are in the kit.

There should be 3 different size/length bolts in the kits.

I know this... but the two part numbers relate to the same 16x long bolts. Apparently both part numbers are available but the dealers say that one is now obsolete (with the new one being more expensive)

Interesting. I wonder when they started this? The only reason they might do this if GM switches to a different supplier and has to change their internal part #. I bought mine from Raging Motorsports who takes the whole "gasket/bolt kit" and breaks them down.

GM is constantly changing part numbers this is why having a parts manual is useless unless you have a way of updating it.

Runamuk is right on this, I have to update my local GM dealer about once a month.
