New Oil Pump From GM I was looking at a magazine tonight and saw that GM has a new version of the 5.3 LS1 that had displacement on demand (AKA DOD). The engine will have LS6 heads and a new "high capacity" oil pump. The upgraded oil pump is crutial for the DOD to operate correctly and will interchange with the typical LS1/LS6 oil pump. The article is in the May 2004 Popular Hot Rodding.T here are no part #'s listed so if anyone can get the PN for the oil pump please post it up.
