Default 243 head shaving PTV Questions...

I have a texas Speed Short block with the 3.905" Diamond -2cc pistons, H-Beam SCAT rods, stock crank and stock 243 heads.

Pat G Spec'd Cam:
226/230 .598”/.600” 111LSA +4 advance (with 1.7 ratio rockers - 7.400" PR's)

I am in the process of rebuilding the motor and going to have the heads decked/shaved. and looking to try and pick up a few HP. How much can I safely shave off the heads and not have any PTV clearance issues?

This motor is a road race car motor and will see a lot of 5000-6500rpm revs' if that matters...
Thoughts?

Really the only way to know would be to clay the heads, then go from there

I like to dumb it down and use the clay better....less chance of a miss measure

Those valve reliefs in your new pistons will be very helpful to you now. I would use checking springs to double check your depth(which you should be plenty fine) and also check the radial clearance with some clay to make sure that is ok also.
