Default 6.0L Serpentine Systems Compatible with 5.7L?

I am looking for a serpentine system for my 5.7L build (99). I need alternator and AC but no power steering. I was looking at some solutions from KRC that they have for the CT525 6.0L engine. Looks like about what I am looking for but was not sure they are compatible. I called KRC and the tech guy was clueless on the LS related items.

Looking for something a little more race oriented and not so much show. Vintage Air has a great kit but it comes with a $2500 price tag as well.

Any suggestions?

Kevin

if you mean a gen I sbc 5.7L Vortec 350....or even a genII LT1 version... no, not compatible.

If you mean a 5.7L LS1 from a '99 f-body, gto, or vette then... maybe.

as for the high dollar kit...keep in mind they do come with the accessory components along with the brackets and pullies. All said, GM makes accessory drive kits for both style engines that also come with the components...for well less then a grand.

two sites that sell both aftermarket and GM/GMPP parts.

chassis compatibility would be the bigger question.

It's a LS1 (Gen-III) block from 99 Firebird. I have the block mocked up in the car and no problems on clearing frame rails, etc. Gets a little tight on the upper side of motor because of hood clearances. Thus some of the systems are too wide because they place the AC and alternator up high and outboard of the valve covers. For example, the Billet Specialties want fit because its too wide on the top side.

I did find a system from Ventura Speed http://venturaspeedcenter.com/?page_id=17 that may fit the bill.

Looks like a new system they created and launched at SEMA this past year. I have sent them an email so I'll let everyone know what I find out. It's got the AC tucked in low and tight to right bottom of block and alternator high.

Looks promising...K

Something rose you might look at is a kit off of an 04-06 GTO...A/C sits down infringe of the passenger side motor mount, and alt sits down in front of the drivers side mount
