Default UPDATE: ticking problem on z28 hci camaro

Okay so I posted something a wile back asking about a ticking noise coming from my camaro. It was post head cam swap when it started ticking, it had crane rockers on it so I bought some used stockers to put on it. There is no ticking other than piston slap untill the car gets warmed up, the other day I drove it for a wile and it got to ticking loud. The tick speeds up with rpm but goes away in high revs. It can also be heard better underneath the car and is only coming from the driver side. My tuner was tuning it last week and said it was running lean on one side and sounding like the ticking was a rocker and that a rocker or valve will cause it to run lean. Well I pulled to valve cover and a couple of rockers was loose on the driver side so I called the nearest GM dealer and ordered all new rockers. Was this the problem? If so then why was it so loud underneath? Thanks everybody for the replys. Just very stressful
