Default Balancing Crank HELP

I have a 5.7ls1 with a 5.3 crank going into it. I need to know is it absolutly necessary for me to get the crank balanced. I'm using my stock 5.7 rods and pistons on it. I need opinions from people who really know about LS motors.

It will be 20 to 30 grams light for the LS1 pistons at the counter weights. You can get by with it but for long life and if you are planning to spin it past 6000 get it balanced.
