Default 243 Head Build

I have some lifter noise and instead of just doing the lifters/springs/pushrods I figured I'd just replace the heads..I have stock 241's on a ls6 cammed LS1.

There is such a wide selection of pushrods/springs/lifters/valves I don't really know where to start.

Any advice on a combo for the 243's that will leave me some breathing room for a higher rev limit and a bigger cam down the road while still being streetable and reliable?

I'd like to buy the parts and assemble the heads myself (just because it looks like fun)

I was thinking of the TrickFlow combo but the consensus seems to be that 243's with the right parts are better bang for the buck and won't be as restricted by the ls6 intake...just need to find the right parts.

Default

check TSP for the parts you listed.if the valve guides of the heads you plan to rebuild are good ,then just do a good valve job.get a cam kit and install the cam while the heads are off,why tear it apart twice.
