Default Help me choose some rods...

My machinist was telling me that my rods are weak and it would be best to change them..

From my research here they (LQ9 rods) are quite strong, with a new set of bolts.

So, my options are:

New GM bolts
ARP bolts
Caltech Bolts
Callies rods
Scat Rods

I would like to re-use my stock pistons, Im already squeezing pennies together to finish this build. So that leaves me stuck with the 6.125 length. Re-sizing isn't really a problem, have full access to a machine shop.

So, which route is best for me? The motor is going into a K5 blazer, 38s 4 speed manual, 228R cam, 317 heads, possible spray down the road.

By the way... NO Eagle parts ... personal reasons I will never buy anything from them again.

Intersting... I thought the LQ9 was the 6.125 whilst the LS1/6 etc was 6.1

Guess I'll go back to my research... if you're correct, I guess that opens up alot more options.

Stock is 6.098. Scat makes a nice set of rods in stock length. I got mine from ws6store for less than 300 shipped.
