Why is my torque number so low?
Had my car dyno tuned today, the guys at APE did a great job. I got right around what I was expecting HP wise, but as much as I hate to say it, the torque number is somewhat depressing. I made 345.8 hp @ 6200 rpm, and 328.9 ft/lbs at 5150 rpm. What gives? This was on a Mustang dyno so I know those tend to show a little low, but I know stock cars that put out more! I have a dyno sheet from the exact same dyno on an 01 Berger Camaro, much less HP but it put out 326.2 ft lbs @ 3900! Thats a bolt on berger! A Hi-flow lid and an overpriced catback! What can I do to bring up the torque?

Thats good #s for your mods , Dynos are really funny when it comes to torque , how does it feel I wouldnt worry to much about it , take it to the track and see what it runs.

I dunno, I've been looking at other members and what they have with similar mods, and while my HP is right around where it should be I seem to be missing 30-40 lbs of torque.

My *** tells me it feels about the same around town, but I will say that highway entrance ramps are alot more fun! I dont know, maybe I should get a new set of gears to give me that low end grunt I miss so badly from my LT1 days.
