Default ls1 knock sensor question

arent all ls1,ls2,lq9,lq4 etc.. knock sensors the same??? same with the harness?

I believe that 97 and 98 had different style sensors and harness. You can use the newer style as replacement along with newer harness.

ok i have a 2000 camaro with the ls1 in it but im puttin a lq9 408 in it and someone told me the sensors were diffferent. i also have the harness from an 03 truck and didnt know if i could use that also.

LS1 knock sensors are 1 wire and the LS2 knock sensors are 2 wire and on the side of the block, and will not work with a LS1 ECM, I don't know about the other engines you mentioned.

my 408 block have the same placement as my ls1. on the top of the block underneath the intake.
