Default ls1/ls2 pushrods....are they the same length?

are ls1 and ls2 pushrods the same??? my brother bent one in his trickflow cammed 6.0 thats in his 98 trans am today... a buddy has some ls2 pushrods... just wondering before we waste the gas and his time to dig them out.... thanks for any help in advance......morgan

I wouldn't use stock push rods in an engine with a cam and stiff springs. It will surely bend before you know it.

Trick flow will sell you a single push rod. Ask me how I know.

i know right... found out that they are all 7.4... i just new the ls6 cam had a small base circle and was curious about the ls2 as well.. but its the valves that are different lengths, not the pushrods... but its a temporary fix for now.. car was bought this way and bought CHEAP/partial trade...

Temporary or not, that is the wrong fix. For starter aftermarket 7.400 pushrods are not the same length as stock OEM pushrods. Stockers are a bit shorter 7.38x. As mentioned above, stockers will flex too much and could result in further damage to the engine.

It really needs to be very temporary...like don't run it if you don't have to.
