I took my heads off recently to fix some worn valve tips (pushrods were to short) but while we had it apart replacing the valves we found a spring was broken in 3 pieces. It was a dual spring luckily so it didn't drop the valve but the inner spring was shredded and so was the valve seal. The car always had some excessive valvetrain noise compared to my camaro. Also on the track it seemed to be done by about 6k or just over (PRC 215s and MS4). Is it possible I was losing any power?

If the valvetrain was set up improperly which then contributed to the broken spring and worn valve tips, i would say there was power being lost for sure. Especially if you were running the car with a broken spring towards the end after damage was done.

I'm gonna say the spring has been broken since I pretty much got the car back from the guy that did the work. He ran it with the stock rods for probably 200 miles or better and its always had the excessive noise, plus it started using oil basically as soon as I got it back. We found a vacumm leak as well while it was apart. If it runs much better I may crash it lol.
