another pushrod question
ok got my new advanced induction cam in and checked for pushrod length with the comp cams checker, looks like between 10.25 and 10.75 turns, so according to that
10.25 x .050 + 6.8 = 7.315
10.75 x .050 + 6.8 = 7.3375
With a median of 7.325.........
now with that said i know i need preload, either .050 or .070 or so.
so finally my question, i have some pushrods from my last build that are 7.350, could i use these??? even tho i would have .025 or less preload?
also wouldnt having .05 or .07 preload make for loss of compression cause even with the 7.350 rods installed it seems to start to compress the spring

I'd go longer than 7.350" based on your measurements. 7.375 or 7.400" either one would work well on that one!

For just starting it up and testing for leaking, you'd be fine. I would not run them longer term than that though. At full temp a chunk of that will go away and you'll be border-line on running lash rather than preload!
