Default stroke my 347 aluminum ls1 or build a stroked 6.0 iron block?

iam looking to make some really good power on my 98 trans am, iam also goin carburated looking to make atleat 600whp and slam 250-400 hit of nitrious, now my delema is to stroke my blown up 347 ls1 or get a 6.0 iron block and build a 408, iam not sure what head iam goin with and iam i will be getting a custom cam made for this set up i just wana figure out how many cubes ill be building first, is there any pros or cons on stength on aluminum vs iron blocks for high horsepower, iam NOT doin a turbo set up or blower just high compression and sum n20 once and a while, also my block is a 99 aluminum block if that helps, any info is apprciated thanks matt

you can do a 383 ls stroker if your block good.but a 408 gives you more cubes with a bigger bore.the bigger bore lets you use a ls3 head which cost $650 new for set from SDPC.

not trying to go with the ls3 heads since i have a complete jesel rocker shafts on my prc ls6 heads now, i realy dnt wana buy another set ot those big money there..
