Default Main bearing groove style???

Its time to tear down my camed lq9 and do a rebuild on it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe its better to stick with tri-metal bearings due to its superior embedability and exceptional fatigue resistance but Idk much about groove styles. I'm stuck between the choice of 1/2 and 3/4 groove style and can't choose? Any help is appreciated. Thank you

You should be fine with either. The 3/4 groove is supposed to be able to supply more oil to the rod bearings than the 1/2 groove, but at the cost of load carrying capability. I think Federal Mogul has the 3/4 groove, while Clevite, ACL, and the OEM use a 1/2 groove.

Ok I just didn't want to make a premature decision. I was thinking about callies tri-metal coated main and rod bearings and duro-bond cam bearings but the more I think about it I wonder if you're just paying for the name there. I've done mods on my existing engines but this is my first time sending an engine in for rebuild. So, I don't know much of anything about bearings
