Default 1.75 or 1.8 rockers

have 1.7 stock rockers on my ls6 heads. cautious about to much lift, hard on springs, how often would i need to change them out. seat and retainer pressure?... just wanting a little bump in more hp with more lift. not wanting to be dangerous or ignorant. is it worth doing 1.75? is 1.8 to much? my cam is a 235 247 @.050 and 620/624 114 lsa. not wanting cheap brittle rockers either. i head some brands of comp are cheap. dont wanna break any.

Higher than 1.7 ratio is not recommended with a cam like yours. And adding lift is not the recipe to more power. I dunno when this practice became gospel but I see so many members thinking that running massive lift is the key to power.
