Scratches on camshaft lobes

Scratches on camshaft lobes Just started on my ls6 valley cover install and noticed there are several deep scratches on the visible camshaft lobes under the cover. The car has a pretty much stock ls1 with 120k miles on her. Just wondering if this is normal wear.
