02 Firebird Build

02 Firebird Build
I have an 02 Pontiac Firebird that I have been wanting to turn into a WS6 clone. I know where I can buy the hood and rear hatch, and I got some z06 wheels for it but I was wanting to get rid of the 3.8l in it. I have a $2500-3500 budget to work with. I have someone that will do it and I have money already set aside for install. I was just wondering what engine I should do. I want as close to 400rwhp as I can get while keeping it a daily driven. I know that I might not reach 400rwhp but I want to get as close as I can with my budget. I have a blown up ls1 from my 98 Z28 but I was thinking of using the money to either build that one up or just rebuild it and sell it to add more money to an engine to put in my car. If you have links to a thread that would be appreciated or even what you would do if you were me. Thank you in advance.

a lower mileage LQ4 or LQ9 is another good option, but would add on some weight and not get you to 400rwhp in stock form.
Depending on your ls1 block you might be able to rebuild it and put a bigger cam in it to get you to 400rwph in your budget. Many options out there. Good Luck!

You might try an LS3, their getting more and more common now and you should be able to find one for a fair price. That would put you around the 400rwhp range and still within the weight you would want.

I think I might rebuild my ls1 and then sell it because I found a cheap LQ4 for sale near by and I was thinking of going with a T76 turbo and some bolt ons and a cam. Any advice?
