Default Engine chatter on decel

I have been trying to get down to the bottom of a problem.
I have a sound that sounds like chatter when after I blip the throttle, and when the rpms come down, you can hear a "chatter". Cant hear it when rpms rise...

Seems to be worse that I just changed the oil. Replaced oil with 6 Quarts of Castrol GTX 10 w40, with AC Delco filter.

01 LS1 with 58k on the odo w/ a A4 trans.

You can sometimes hear it when idling, standing in front of the car..
IMO it sounds like it is coming from the top end.

Can anyone chime in?

Oil psi is? Check it w/ a REAL gauge.
Did you cut the old filter open, and take a look?
Accessory brkts loose, broken?
Valve covers off to look for rocker bearing being spit out?

Don't worry about it, Its just air in the lifters. It will slowly bleed out over time. I have the same issue every time I change oil. Next time you change oil try filling the oil filter full of oil before putting it on.

Mine chatters and clatters terribly after every oil change. I found using a good synthetic like Pennzoil Platinum helps lessen the noise quite a bit. Thinner oils help.

Wow really? I thought it would be the other way around? The reason I used a heavier grade oil was because of this? If I dropped this oil and put in say 5w 30, would it be better?

BTW I did and always do fill the filter with oil before spinning it on.

Does anyone know if there is this sound on Youtube somewhere?
I would like to compare the sound with mine.. I hope it is this easy, but I doubt it.. but WHY would it do this louder or more pronounced AFTER a oil change to a HEAVIER grade?
