Default How to tell if an Ported Oil pump is bad?

I recently bought a built L6 Long block all fresh with:
Stock ls6 crank
Callie's rods arp 2000 bolts
Ross/Je pistons
Arp mains and head studs
Patriot stage 3 ls6 heads
Comp custom cam
Comp springs
Comp pushrods
Aftermarket timing set
8.8 compression
texas speed ported oil pump

Plus replaced all the sensors etc oil sending unit aswell, Fired up the motor & it had around 45psi at cold, when it warmed up than it drop down to 25 at idle! Put about 100 miles on it now its at 15psi when hot, It makes no noises or ticking sound, I have 10-30 VR in it, put a mechanical guage on it and its the same reading as the factory gauges. I'm wondering if the oil pump might be bad or its not shimmed right, any imput would help thanks Mike.

First guess is yes, change the pump. You should have around 60-80 cold then 40-60 hot

You could try checking the oil pump o ring... If its slightly pinched it won't tick, time to bust out the ratchet set

What are the bearing clearances? You may just need a larger pump.
