Streetsweeper HT or SNS stage 2

Streetsweeper HT or SNS stage 2
So I decided to put a cam in my car soon and have it narrowed down between these 2 cams. I know the ss ht is a proven cam and I have driven in a car with it and it drove great, but I also see people are finding the sns stage2 to be a good cam as well. My car is a streetcar that will rarely see the track and I drive it on weekends and nice days. Which cam would be better as far as mid range power and drive ability? Mods are in my sig.
Also, is the ss ht cam/spring/pushrod combo worth the extra $150+? What makes that kit so much different than other dual spring kits.

I too would choose the SNS Stage 2. It's a torque monster!!, and I drive mine in California traffic. Overall great cam and Martin over at Tick Performance seals the deal with his superb customer service.
Good Luck!

Tick performance also has the Polluter V2 cam. That put my buddy's stock LS1 (6 speed with Long Tubes and 3" Exhaust, Stock LS6 Intake) at 400rwhp. Another cam to consider if going "Cam only".

I think that would be a little too big for my liking. Plus you said his car has a 6 speed, mine has an auto so there will be some difficulties with the drive ability in my set up. My original idea was to go with the 228r then I saw people say but good about the sns cam.

Many others. Advanced Induction has their own proprietary lobes, and you can't forget Tony Mamo at AFR. Both are the best sources to go to for their respective heads because they designed the port layout and know them better than anyone else how to cam a given setup. Then you have guys like Damian at Spartan down in GA who, like, Martin, has some of his own lobes now that he's gotten some impressive results. Outside of these, Patrick G would be my pick to use to spec a cam. Don't know if he's designed any of his own lobes though, but you can't go wrong with his knowledge and experience.

Remember, he designed all the original Thunder Racing cams. Those were the standard for years.
And he has designed his own lobes - the EPS lobes.
I think he might know a thing or two about camshaft design and valvetrain setup. Pat G works with Geoff a lot. If you order a custom Pat G grind, guess who fulfills the order?
