LG G5x3 with PAC 1519 Beehive springs
Ok, change of plans. I was going to install an older design cam TSP 231/237 598/595 112 in my 74,000 mile 2000 formula with 241 heads and I planned on using the PAC 1519 nitrided beehive springs. I have done a considerable amount of research on springs and the beehive springs would have been fine with the TSP soft lobe cam. The TSP cam was more conducive for my son to use so I let him have it and it now spins in his camaro - it will be dyno tuned in two days.
Because of this, I acquired a little larger cam, an LG G5x3 234/242 600/610 112 which is ground on more aggressive xer lobes. I have all the parts sitting on the shelf in the garage to do the swap including 1519 springs, retainers, seats, keepers and locks. I am somewhat conflicted on whether to use the PAC 1519 springs on the xer lobes but I recognize the benefits of the beehive spring. I will measure my installed height and pushrod length/lifter preload. If everything is set up correctly is there any legitimate reason why the beehives wouldn't work?
