Default trouble with oil leak.

I just finished up a cam swap not to long ago on my car and it didnt leak any oil at all. I never had any type of leaks before but I noticed about 2 days after I finished that there was oil on the ground comming from in between the motor ans tranny. While doing the oil pump swap I didn't even break the oil pan loose so I dont think its from the pan itself. Any idea on where it could be comming from?

Thanks for looking.

Is it motor oil, or clutch fluid(brake fluid)?
If it's motor oil then check the valve covers and behind the intake for leaks. If you do find a leak behind the intake then pull the intake to find out exactly where it is. Now if it's dry up top then plan on pulling the transmission to most likely change the rear seal.

Be sure to change the rear cover gasket also. Just went through this on a 5.3l 4x4 suburban that was leaking engine oil between trans and engine after replacing weak oil pump. At first I just replaced rear crank oil seal and it stil leaked, pulled trans again and found rear cover gasket crystallized that was causing the leak. I guess the crystallized gasket couldn't hold pressure of the new pump.

Also check the bolt holes of your oil pan. If the covers aren't reinstalled ocrrectly the pan can crack across the bolt holes.
