Default is machining needed when changing pistons

I have a 408 with eagle rotating assembly and afr 225 heads. I'm currently at 11/1 compression ratio but going single turbo. I'm wanting to know what will have to be done to swap pistons to drop the cr. Whole set up has about 10k miles on it. Can i just buy the pistons in the same diameter as i have now and drop them in or do i need to have anything done to the bores

you MIGHT actually get away with that, but I wouldn't do it.
I would want to see how much cleaning is necessary for the walls and get the right correct diameter piston.

if the bores have not developed any taper ,and the cylinder hone looks like new ,you mite get away with it .cutting corners can cost more then doing it right the first time ,especially with a turbo build .

You may need to rebalance the crankshaft.

Damn. I didn't think it was going to be easy. I guess I'll just boost it at 11/1 and see what i get them go from there.
