gains from 2.08 to 2.05 valves on stock bore motor?
I'm sending in my ARE Stage II LS6 heads to have the 2.08 valves replaced with new seats and 2.05. They flow good, 311/227 @ .600. How much rwhp could I expect to gain from a smaller valve that is better suited for the stock bore of my shortblock?

I've been told be 3 reputable builders that the 2.08 are indeed too big for a stock bore. The valves are shrouded by the stock bore.
For example, my ARE Stage II heads flow 311/227 with 2.08 intakes, but it 'only' dyno'd 428 and 420ish consistently. Now days that would be low.
