Default oil gauge

When I am drivring down the road my oil gauge is going wild jumping around. From 40 to like 80. { only sometimes} worry about it or not? Thanks John

Oil pressure varies with engine speed (RPM), assuming "driving down the road" means varying engine speeds, like running thru the gears, this is normal behavior.

On the other hand, if you're cruising at a constant RPM and the oil pressure is jumping, you have issues.
