Default water damaged lq9 value

Found a 05 lq9 complete take out for 400.00,motor was in a flood. Won't spin .good deal?

If you value your time to screw with it, this likely has negative value. You could spend a lot of time dismantling and assessing damage and come up with a few hundred in parts.

My opinion is leave it alone. Motors aren't supposed to be underwater and unless attended to immediately are usually toast.

Right off the bat it would be lowered to at best LQ4 parts value, not even running LQ4. The difference is flat top pistons and might as well assume those are toast, meaning HOPEFULLY you could salvage the equivalent of a LQ4 block from it.
It is possible to bend the rods or crank, rust the bores, or even crack the block with water though.

A couple hundred at best. You could rebuild it but it could easily just be worth the block and bare heads.
