Default 408 Lq9

So I'm looking into building an LQ9 408 and as far as I know you need a .030 over bore and a 4.000 inch crank. Now I know there's forged stroker cranks out there, but a 454 crank is 4 inch so I'm wondering if it will fit or not, & with what I've found so far some say it will but most say it won't, so if anybody could clarify for me that'd be great. Thanks.

Even if it fit it wouldn't work, It's a completely different design.

There are plenty of option for crankshafts and places like Texas speed can sell you the whole kit, 4.0 Crank 6.125 rods and pistons to work with them.

Whomever it was that said it would fit, never ever take their advice on anything.

The BBC cranks will not fit. The dimensions are completely different and even the thrust bearing is located differently. Same goes for the older SBC cranks too. You need a LS specific crank.
