Default 2002 Z28

I am new to this sight. My Z28 started running real bad. took it to the dealer they replaced a fuel celinoid(not sure what that is) one week later started running even worse. Took it back they found bent push rod #5 cylynder. Know they are talking pulling the engine to further look at the engine. Say it might not be covered by my warantee. maf, kn, power program, with 160 degree thermostate, nothing serious, lokking for some feedback. Thanks

they will have to prove the mods you listed cause the bent pushrod..is it a auto or manual? from what I have read and heard bent push rods are a M6 problem with improper down shifting (5th to 2nd and high speed etc)...and I dont believe with what mods you have listed you could bend a push rod..I may be wrong though...

There is no way that your mods bent a P-rod. The only way that happened is either you hit the rev limiter one too many times, missed a shift or you had valve float, which could be due to bad spring or lifter.
One way you could go is remove all your mods and go to another dealership, If they ask why you are not doing it at your dealership, just say you do not live in that area and give them a pobox # in their neighbourhood (Postal)

Well went to the dealership ( Bill Wink Chevrolet, Dearborn Mi.) looked at my engine. #5 cylynder has a crack in the steel sleeve as well as in the cylynder wall and a peice of the top of the piston broke off. They still not sure if warranty is going to cover it. Any suggestions, or advise. They say because of sub frame connectors, 12 Moser 410 gear, kyb shocks, kn filter, wisper lid, rubber in the wheelwells, straped down battery,(because battery tray broke), when the GM rep. comes out to see why it broke, with all them add ons he will not warranty it.
