LS1 Track Engine - Smoking on throttle lift, RH sweepers
Hello all,
I have a partially rebuilt LS1 block (MY98) with 243 heads. It has new piston rings and rod bearings, ARP rod bolts, etc. Mellings high pressure oil pump, Improved racing baffle (f-body pan), improved racing windage tray, oil pan drill mod (near filter), new gaskets all around, lifter tray drilled for better drain back, LS6 valley pan.
I'm not running a PCV valve, it is going straight from the LS6 valley to intake mani. It does have new valve seals with the 243 heads (ls6 intake, cam and heads).
My dilemma... In the following video, I am the purple LS swapped M3 that passes right when the video starts. As you can see, there is significant oil consumption during hard engine braking and right hand turns. I want your opinion on what it could be. I am only ruling out piston rings (for now) because it's a fresh rebuild.
My plan to hopefully remedy this si to get a catch can and replace the valve seals once more since I'll be getting them with the BTR dual valve spring kit.

Thank you,
Bart
