Congrats to Heinz Schenk and Morel..Worlds Fastest Street Car.. I will update and send copies of the Auto Bild Sportscars mag event previously held at Sachsenring/Germany as soon as I get them from newsstand tomorrow. We broke 4 records like fastest lap record street legal car, fastest US built car, highest ever recorded top speed with 261 kph on straight (old record was also ours with 244 kph) and highest ever recorded top speed over the crest.
Old record with 1:28.89 was by a MTM Audi R8 GT3 car, basically a former GT3 masters cars barely legalized for street and our ZR1 runs full carpets, AC working and radio still onboard…..
We beat Porsche Motorsports 918 with world famous Walter Röhrl at the helm by 1.9 seconds and a highly tuned C7Z06 by over 2 seconds……fastest of the fast!
