LS1 into a Porsche 996
Hi All,
Just wanted to drop by and say hello as I search through these forums for some information on my build.
I was able to get my hands on a rebuilt documented 2001 LS1 with a Texas Speedcam Magic Stick 4 + Double Spring kit. I am going to be swapping this motor into my Porsche 911 996 Carrera using the Renegade Hybrid swap kit. The 996 is getting a custom 1-off widebody, too. Hope to have the entire project done by June.
As for the motor, I will be keeping the cam, pursuing an ITB and custom equal length manifold and a tune for it. Hoping to hit the 450whp mark. Biggest concern is the height using the ITB's in the Porsche Engine bay. I guess we'll see what happens. If I can't get the ITB's to fit, I'll pursue a Fast LSXr IM. This is my weekend driver as I have a dedicated E36 for the track and a daily Avalon that I'll be swapping to a Ford F150 for soon.
On that note, anyone have any specific details with the Magic Stick v4 + ITB on any LS variant motor?
