Alright! Glad to see you settled on the D1SC.

We installed one of those Chineseium eBay intercoolers on our TBSS (mounted it horizontally and built a scoop for it) and the IATs were awesome at 12psi in the manifold going down the strip.

If you want the seller or a snap shot of the log I can provide.

So 4.38? The 8.65" crank doesn't help. But I'm trying to do as much as possible to eliminate belt slip.

Of course, I don't know how my motor will react with boost. I would imagine it's an efficient airpump.

I'd be surprised if he saw more than 10psi with that large of a blower pulley and a healthy heads and cam. On a stock motor maybe. I'm running a 7.65 crank and 4 inch blower pulley and hoping to see 10 psi when I tune it this weekend. A 4.5" pulley was only making 5 psi.

exactly...boost is a measure of restriction. IF the engine flows more air, the boost psi will decrease and still make more power.

The 8.65" crank adds a lot though. I originally figured 4.38/8.65 to give me about 10 but then bumped it up. If I get 12, I'd see how long the weakass Gen III rods will last.

Why not run the 7.65" crank pulley that most others run?

Added belt wrap...

You can run larger head unit pulleys and get more boost. So it's a plus.

I would say that would be a nice combo. I have the FTI 3800 spec'd for a power adder...shift extension is right around 1k. I went this route just in case if I ever decided to spray or boost. Was never too worried about a track number and it hooks better on the street...I am pulling mid 3 second 0-60's on a 275-50 DR. Not earth shattering but decent for the street. I am going to try a 28" hoosier next...I think it is capable of a low 3 with even more tire.
Velocity IS flow.

with an aster bracket I think that's overkill unless you want 20 psi.

With the stock 6 rib truck crank pulley and a 3.85" pulley on the D1SC - we are seeing 12psi at 6600rpm. In the same log the offshore special intercooler showed just a 30*F IAT over ambient by the end of the pull (LS7 MAF is post-IC aka. blow-through).
