People with G5X3 + M6 + 4.10s
Ive heard that the stock 3.42s just dont work well with this cam. Are the 4.10s a good match or are 3.73s better?
how does this type combo go from a roll? is there alot of top end killed?
anybody know which heads are best for this cam? are LS6s too much lift?
if anyone has em, post your times and mods with this combo.

Check out calculated and displayed Gear Ratios for ls1 applications by gear multiple RPM. It's color formated in large tables so easy to read. It's a myth that you lose top end with 4.10s they pull just fine.
The only reason you may want 3.73s with stock cubes n/a is if you road race and 4.10 don't fit the tracks you frequent. Usually lots of sweepers of varying radius calls for longer ratios. You'll be shifting at least 6500 with that cam.

Definately go with the 4.10's, there is a big difference between these and the stock 3.42 gear. When i was running the stock gear the car really didn't come awake until about 3500rpm, now with the steeper gear the power comes on a lot earlier and is so much more fun to drive. Also with the top end, shifting to 5th you will still have plenty in it.

I have the G5X3 and 4.11's in my Moser 12bolt, there is no top end loss, I pull all the way to 7000rpm and it never stops pulling. I never go over 4th gear on the freeway if I am racing, so I don't know what the top speed is with the car. I would go with 4.10's even if you decide to spray the car, it revs so high that you will have plenty of gear left. I am at 6200rpm area at the end of the 1/4 in 4th using 26" tall ET Streets. It may be higher when I have better weather and run faster, but for now that's where it's at. PLENTY of room for spray, hint hint
