you are not listening to the right people. No one in their right mind would tell you to use the stock rockers...they break on stock cars...ive broken 4. Probably the number one thin I recommend upgrading...less friction..higher lift...much more durable..more rpm...etc

I use Comp 1.75 Pro magnum adjustable and Comp R lifters...to .008-.010 preload. Very quiet and I have not had a single issue.

there are alot pf 10 second cars using stock rockers, if you're not revving the car to 6800+ alot don't spend the extra $, don't forget, most require valvecover spacers and longer plug wires.

HArland sharp rockers do not require any spacers and fit in most ls1 heads with no machining.... I had to clearance my harland sharp rockers only at the very corners to clear my head casting..... and just barely... like .005

everything else fits with no modifications

I think I paid around $325??? after shipping for mine
talk to nate at nasty performance he'll hook you up with a god deal and he usually has them in stock.

I'd stay far away from Harland Sharp, I had to grind three on one side and six on the other. Also had to clearance the valve covers, for all 16 rockers. I'd go with any other company if I were to do it again. The owner was kind of an *** when I contacted him also. Cheap product, yes indeed but not worth it IMHO. Cost was closer to $350 now if I remember correctly. This all pertains to a 98 and 1.8 rockers btw. I have heard the other years were much better but this is my .02. Let the flame wars begin
