Talking questionj on heads.

well i was thinking about going to nitrous. the more i talk to people and express longevity issues they keep referring me to getting heads. so which ones have you had experience with. good and bad. which yield most results for a 1500.00 and below price. i hear AFR has some good ones as well. please let me know all tid bits and good info. also i am getting SLP 1.85 rockers.also what do you think about raising my compression to 10.5. i am staying N/A.

5.3L ENGINE-COMP 216-220-525-532-114CAM-COMP 918'S-ARIZONA SPEED & MARINE HEADERS-CAT DELETE-MAGNAFLOW MUFFLER-TRUE DUAL-GIBSON TIPS-JBA WIRES-NGK IRIDIUM PLUGS-SHANER S2 PORTED THROTTLE BODY-CUSTOM INTAKE& TUBE-CUSTOM RAM AIR-FLEX A LITE 292 FANS& DC CONTROLLER-HYPER 160 THERM-3.90'S WITH EATON POSI-CENTURY AUTO BUILT TRANNY-CIRCLE D 2500 STALL-TOP POST BATTERY-6.0L COVERS-NELSON PERFORMANCE TUNE

i am looking at a set of heads from absolute speed.
st2 intake port volume 209cc to 214cc. comp ratio 11.0-1 or 12.0-1. same as st2 ls1 except 2.04 intake.

you can forget AFR right off the bat, 2300 is what you'll be paying for those. your headed in the right direction with a set of Jays heads, check the sponsosr section, i believe he was having a sale on some heads as well.

Yeah Heads are a good start Lance. Even the MTI 2E's are a good flowing head for @$1500. They are in that price range any ways another option to look at and they are hear in town. That is the heads we put on Jasons car he is happy with them. I personally bought TEA's for my car and I like them a lot but they were more than the $1500 price range but I am sure all the porters will have something for you in that price range. My suggestion is get on the phone and start calling these guys and start asking what you are getting for your money etc... and make your decision based on the best bang for your buck method.
