Trying To Find A Good Combo
I have a 2000 ws6 m6 and i would like to beef it up some. This is my 3rd LS1 car, but first tinkering other than power programmer. my car is bone stock right now and ready for a new start. I have heard that headers, cam, and a cat back are the main 3 componets to get the most bang for the buck. Is this true?? I would like to have a somewhat choppy idle, with the exhaust not annoying. I would like to go about 12.50 or so without power adder and without breaking the bank. I also need it for daily driver. thanks for the help it is appreciated. also what are the factory valve spring lift limitations??

Yep, cam and heads and headers is a good start, but most guys do all the bolt-ons first like TB, underdrive pulley, air lid, etc,The new AFR 205,head that is,looks good and the TR224 cam and some good 1.75 longtubes should work good.

first off go get yourself a lid, a catback, go get some headers(pacesetters are great bang for your buck headers, make sure to get the coated ones tho), maybe an ls6 intake, and make sure you get a pro 5.0 shifter. don't waste your money on a lou's short stick, just cut the handle on the 5.0. the 5.0 is my favorite mod so far, i recommend it to everyone w/an m6. after that, its all up to you. i'd go for maxin out the bolt-on's before goin for a cam install myself, but hey, its your car
