Default Oiling system schematic, anyone know where oil travels first on a LS1

I was wondering if anyone knows when the oil is picked up from the oil pan does it travel to the oil filter first, and then through your engine or viceversa.

I'm 99.9% that the oil in the pan is already filtered, thus the pickup tube pulls the filtered oil up and transports it to the oil pump where the oil pump sends this filtered oil through the galleries.

oil pump pickup has a mesh screen on it to somewhat filter out stuff, oil goes from the pan to the pump, then from there it would only make sense to go to the filter, from the filter I'm not positive but I can tell you it lubricates your bearings from the rear to the front.

Oil is pumped first and then it goes along the driver side pan rail to the filter and then in the galleys into the back of the block to the lifter galley first then into the mains and then the rods, but the oil is filtered after its pumped but before its sent into the galleys
