Default How do I get the crank gear off?

I need to remove the stock crank gear for my Rollmaster double one. How do I get it off? Thanks guys....

I had no luck getting my crank timing gear off. The jaws on your regular pulley pullers are too thick to get between the back of the gear and the block.

Kent-Moore has a special puller for this. Maybe a GM dealership can let you borrow there puller.

Time to go over to Ray Hughes Chevy and talk to someone

Go to autozone, and get there biggest puller. and turn the arms around so the thin hooks are teh ones you pull with. IT will work like a champ, I just did mine last week. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Well the ends I used were the wide ends, but they had thinner teeth. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
